Happy new year! Thanks for writing this blog.

I have a question for an expert like you:
For someone who has just entered the workforce for a year, and hence has not yet has CPF or Tax records, would it be possible to apply for LTVP for spouse?

More details:
Entered workforce in beginning 2014, will submit tax forms in March 2015, but looking to apply for the new Pre-Marriage Long-Term Visit Pass Assessment as soon as possible.

Thanks for your help!
Happy New Year!

No problem, just inform the ICA counter staff when you are submitting the documents. What is more important is that you are holding a stable job with regular income, they can tell from the letter of employment that you will need to submit.

Best of luck!

Hi MTGS,

When u mean stable job does it mean u have to be with the same company for a prolonged period? cuz I recently changed jobs to a higher paying job but I have heard that changing jobs is not very good also cuz ica wanna see stability?

any idea how true that is?
Stable job means you are employed full-time, regular income means you get paid on a regular basis e.g. monthly pay.

Change of job should be fine as long as it is stable with regular income.

Hi, another question, is it harder for self-employed persons to get a LTVP for foreign spouse? Any tips for the self-employed people?

I am currently a private tutor, hence under the self-employed category.

Thanks for your help!
Hi Douglas,

I think most cases not easy because people don't keep track of their earnings, but if you can prove that you have regular income, I think should be fine.
