Singapore is Overcrowded and Smelly

After taking the EWL and NSL and smelling shit for a month now, sort of come to a realisation, this country feels overcrowded and smells of shit all the time, maybe my nose is too sensitive or maybe it's just that I take the train too much. Just to console myself, I watched some nightmare commutes on YouTube, like Tokyo, Manilla, Mumbai, ours don't really come anywhere close, like Mumbai the commuters even hang outside of the train and jump into the train before it stops, or Tokyo and Manilla where they squeeze to the max skin to skin, imagine the shit smell of even more packed trains. I think if Singapore pushes for 10M population, we will see what I see in Tokyo, Manilla, Mumbai. Really don't know what this government is thinking, I wonder if our ministers take the train and smell the shit or not.

DBS POSB All Down

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/singapore/dbs-digital-banking-services-down-disrupted-atm-not-working-paylah-paynow-3846026 Was at Sheng Siong for my usual grocery shopping, noticed that the POSB ATMs all down, didn't think much of it until we tried to make payment then was told that my POSB Everyday card cannot use, only cash or other credit cards, really knn f***ing annoying, lucky I got some cash and wife also got some cash. And it's not just the ATM and credit card down, their internet and mobile banking all down also. I think DBS outage happened many times already except this time I got personally affected so I am f***ing pissed off. "Our investigations indicate that the service disruption was caused by an issue at a data centre which is also being used by various other organisations," said DBS. "We are doing our utmost to swing over to our backup data centre." Simi issue at data centre? Also used by various other organisations? Wtf does that even mean?

Talking about Investing in Property

This week I was talking to a colleague about property investment, he shared that he owns a condo, his wife also own a condo, he also owns 3 industrial property i.e. office space. I was wondering how he got so much cash to buy so many properties, he told me he took loans, I still can't wrap my head around it, no matter how he explained there seems to be a lot of cash involved but I didn't ask too much, good for him to be able to get into property investment. One thing special is he didn't buy HDB flat, then he shared that once a person owns a HDB flat, the second property would require a 20% ABSD, it's like an additional amount to pay on top of the selling price, which is a lot of money. He did mention some sacrifices he have to make, I guess that would explain a bit. For me I'm out already, first I don't have so much cash, second, next year getting BTO with parents so even if I want to buy a condo, the 20% ABSD would render it impossible. Good for him la, for me

LKY Quotes

https://www.todayonline.com/singapore/lee-kuan-yew-100-memorable-quotes-2254956 I like this the most, I think Singapore's reserves is its lifeline, if one day one bad government and one bad president takes over, I think everybody game over. They say we got enormous reserves. Yes, we do. But, you know, a few years of a recession, an economic setback, and all that will suddenly be depleted. Our savings could be wiped out in about five, six years if you say, world recession like the last Great Depression in the 1930s.

Chinese Privilege in Singapore?

Today I saw the news about this Subhas Nair guy who got jailed for some race and religion video, I went to YouTube to search for it and found a VICE video interviewing his sister, after that the following video appeared in my feed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSThaUt80Bc One of the girls mentioned the term "chinese privilege", I very surprised because it is the first time I hear of this term in Singapore, seriously I have never hear of it from my family, friends, colleagues or even army platoon mates, not during NS and not during reservist. I probably didn't live under a rock right, I mean people around me didn't mention it at all lol. But thinking about it, Chinese where got privilege, I Chinese but I don't feel privileged leh, education, job, NS, housing all no difference leh, where got privilege? Eat at hawker all have to queue, go toilet all same toilet, go hospital all same hospital, GST 8% all kena, income tax property tax all same, where got privilege?

New Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam

https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/politics/from-jurong-to-tampines-president-elect-tharman-thanks-voters-after-landslide-win Not surprising, he is one of the most popular if not the most popular politician in Singapore but personally I voted for NKS because I kind of saw LKY in him, aiyah actually no diff la, not as if the president is able to do anything, our president different from other presidents, our president cannot meddle with government policies or politics. I think the only real use of the president is to act as the key to our reserves, in case the government go rogue, still must go through the president and his/her advisors before our reserves can be utilised, but then if both the government and president go rogue then gameover, that's why it is very important that the president is fully neutral, but I think most important is incorruptible and integrity. CNA did a few videos on our reserves, those give a good idea of our reserves and why we need it, after watching i

Ng Kok Song

[LIVE] Presidential Forum with candidates Ng Kok Song, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Tan Kin Lian:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIyQ3oH8rEg So before watching the video, I kind of already decided to vote Tharman, I mean who else right, seriously who's going to argue. First of all, Tan Kin Lian, wah my hair stand, a bit cringy for me, but I can feel his pro-people vibe. Then Tharman, aiyah, sibeh foggy sia, machiam talk from east to west, then west to east again, then horlan, also don't know what he talking about, disappointing, kind of awkward, he spoke eloquently but something just didn't feel right, kind of like trying too hard not to say the wrong things then end up not saying the right things. Maybe some will like his style, but not me though, I like to hear concrete stuff. Finally this Ng Kok Song really impressed me, previously he kind of gave me the lao tiko cum pedo vibe but the way he carried himself in the video and the way he spoke, wow, very concrete and coherent

Singapore Getting More Expensive

Every weekly visit to Sheng Siong, price of day-to-day stuff goes up, some go down but generally most go up, our weekly groceries shopping can easily hit S$125 or more, sometimes don't buy as much also around S$96+. Next year GST also going to 9% on 1st Jan 2024, 1% GST means at least 10% or more increase on the ground, so if your Koufu two veggie one meat cai png is S$6.50 now, next year don't be shocked at S$7 or S$7.50. Good thing still have hawker centre, but they also increase price although not as bad as those aircon food court. My salary don't even increase at this rate. Every few months government give the small little things to help offset inflation, it doesn't entirely help but still better than nothing, but life getting really stressful here. Sigh, tired.

George Goh Disqualified

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/singapore/george-goh-rejected-singapore-presidential-election-committee-explains-reasons-companies-3708521 1 down, left 3, so 01 Sep have to choose among Tharman, Tan Kin Lian and Ng Kok Song. Basically if applying as private sector candidate, the requirement is 1 company with at least S$500M in shareholders' equity and have served as CEO for at least 3 years. George Goh applied with 5 companies for a total combined shareholders' equity (according to him) of S$1.52B, but he got disqualified mainly because none of his 5 companies have equity more than S$500M. Like that very hard for private sector candidate to come forward, those who run S$500M company probably get paid very well with the bonus and whatnot, why bother running for presidency where pay might even be lower. Come on la, let's not lie to ourselves, serve the country? Don't bullshit la. In Singapore money is number one. Vote or don't vote also don't matter, Tharman guara

SPF Officer Kena Bully Until Suicide - Part 4

Image
https://www.channelnewsasia.com/singapore/police-officer-death-racial-discrimination-workplace-bullying-allegations-shanmugam-3645966 This incident reach mainstream media and Shanmugam means sibeh tua diao liao. "He has put up a post, which amongst other things, says he faced racial discrimination in SPF. These and other allegations are serious," the minister said in a Facebook post. Eh this SPF also sibeh tok cok, people die already still jiao wei, help until he commit suicide? What kind of help is that? In a separate Facebook post, the police said they were "aware" of the challenges at work which had been raised by the officer, and "had extended various assistance to him". These are the names I picked out in his entire suicide note, these people appears to be in SPF. Chua Boon Hwee . His Chinese name is Cai Wen Hui. This guy sure is not difficult to find, in fact can see his personal email and mobile number too, but I censor off because I respect privacy

SPF Officer Kena Bully Until Suicide - Part 2

https://mothership.sg/2023/07/spf-officer-dies-facebook-post I first read the suicide note on Reddit, at first don't know how real, seriously Reddit is full of shit content so very hard to tell apart. So the Mothership's post confirmed it's true, there's even a link to SPF's Facebook page. Sad case.

SPF Officer Kena Bully Until Suicide - Part 1

This will be a long post. I am sorry but please read I had always wanted a uniform career since young. I had joined ncc and was passionate about it. I left secondary school as a platoon sergeant after my stint in ncc. I am Sgt T120387 Uvaraja S/O Gopal. Regular police officer. I first enlisted to the force 2005 to 2007 I did my national service with team alpha. I had a great c.o sir tan boon heng, great team members I was passionate about police work. I was young and fit then at 18 years old, passionate about policing. I was involved in front line policing, plainclothes operations covert and overt. Through out the years the work place culture slowly turned toxic, team members playing each other out, back stabbing for promotion. I was bullied alot of times at work at my posting with ang mo kio north npc. I was called names, being talked behind my back, i was called keleng kia, black and smelly by people whom I thought were my team members. No matter how well i performed I was always put

Comfortable Salary to Live in Singapore

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLJ-CxlzTK0&t=744s Saw this video about the cost of living in Singapore, the part about the salary is quite interesting, I hear a few numbers and the range is quite wide, but of course we know that the numbers can vary widely depending on the quality of living different people look for, like if you want to own a car, or you like clubbing then of course it's going to require a higher income. These are the numbers I heard in the video: S$1K - one person S$3K - one person S$5K - one person S$7.5K - one person S$20K to S$30K - one person S$5K - family S$10K - family For me, wife and daughter, our range is between S$2221 to S$3721, that's housing loan, groceries, transport, utilities, conservancy charges, two mobile lines, home internet, doctor visit, medication, insurance, daughter school bus, dental, some taxi trips, usually if see dentist or doctor it goes towards the higher number, not sure if I covered everything or not. We don't have car

Shocking News after Shocking News

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/singapore/ng-kok-song-singapore-president-candidate-gic-investment-officer-3638391 This granddad 75 years old the fiancee 45 years old, like that also dare to come out for president election, you minus another 30 years old then it's like a 45 years old man preying on a 15 years old girl. Yuck, what the hell.

Wah More Juicy News

Leon Perera and Nicole Seah resigned from Worker's Party, gg, how they going to face the people here, how they going to face their families, now I wondering how many times they go hotel since GE2020. I also wondering how come TCJ, Cheng Li Hui, and these two they just resign and case close? No punishment by law? So it's ok to hanky-panky while holding public office and getting paid by taxpayers? I mean this is not stealing or robbing but it's not any less serious right, stealing robbing the impact is very localised to the victim(s) but this one we are talking about Singapore's reputation, sibeh sia suay leh. Should pass in a law to criminalise such behaviour in the entire public sector, this is getting ridiculous, how many other of public servants are behaving like that, one cockroach appear more will appear.

Another Juicy News

https://www.asiaone.com/singapore/i-tried-help-him-ex-driver-workers-party-leon-perera-nicole-seah-alleged-relationship Perera's alleged hotel meetings with Seah There were also numerous instances where Perera instructed Tan to drop him off at hotels in the Orchard and Tanglin area, the former driver said. On one occasion, Tan said that he went to pick Perera up from a Tanjong Pagar hotel , and that he saw Seah leaving through his side mirror. Perera's alleged hotel visits caused friction between the two, Tan claimed. "Once I picked Leon from the St Regis hotel ," he said. "He didn't tell me that he's going inside, but told me that he would call me to pick him up at the Tanglin Mall pick-up point. "But when I drove near to the hotel , he came out and told me very angrily, 'Why did you come here?'" He also shared that he also witnessed them hugging each other and saying goodbye at Forum The Shopping Mall in Orchard Road in 2020. Wah, h

Now I Know Who is Cheng Li Hui

Image
So this is Cheng Li Hui, still very attractive for her age, according to Wikipedia she was born in 1976 so 47 this year, GE2020 should be 44 years old, not married, no wonder TCJ beh tahan, I think most guys also beh tahan, guys are just animals. That's why at work I make it a point to stay away from attractive females as much as possible, if bo bian due to work have to interact with attractive females I always keep it very professional, no nonsense, only when the female is not very attractive then I will relax a bit. There is a Chinese saying çº¢é¢œç¥¸æ°´, I interpret it as attractive women are usually trouble, better siam, not worth it, if really beh tahan just watch porn la, this whole shit storm totally not worth it.

Corruption Probe, Now Extramarital Affairs

I think the Iswaran gone case already, he was arrested on and released on bail, and his passport impounded, but still don't know what he corrupt for, most likely money-related, minister salary so high, entry level also S$1.1M, why still need to corrupt, I don't understand, S$1.1M to serve the country also not enough? I always thought our ministers are incorruptible, guess I am wrong, very disappointed, really let everybody down, LKY and my grandmother will jump in their graves. Today another two shocks, Tan Chuan Jin and this Tampines MP Cheng Li Hui resigned, I don't even know who this Cheng Li Hui is. For TCJ, I can pretty much guess why but this lady no head no tail suddenly resigned together, later in the afternoon then saw the PM Lee press conference on YouTube, turns out both of them have one leg, wah lao eh wtf, some more not recent only, dates back to GE2020, maximum power wtf. The lady is not married. TCJ family must be crushed if they haven't already know this
