Passed My Basic Theory Test

Today I took half day leave to take the test at Bukit Batok Driving Centre. I thought I will fail because I only spent 2 hours running through the basic theory handbook without any revision. They gave me 50 questions, 1 minute for each question so total they gave me 50 minutes to finish. In order to pass, need to get at least 45 questions correct which meant that I could only afford to answer 5 questions incorrectly. I have no idea how many correct answers I gave but at the end of the 50 questions, I saw a pass on the screen. It was fast, I only took 10 minutes to finish, so easy lol. By the way all are multiple choice questions, they give 3 answers to choose from, most of the questions are common sense kind of stuff like you see a sign with a child of course is stop and let the child pass. Booked My Basic Theory Test

Since I'm staying at Commonwealth, the nearest driving centre is Bukit Batok Driving Centre or more commonly known as BBDC. It's north of Bukit Gombak MRT station, just follow the MRT track up north, you will see HomeTeamNS, BBDC is just right after. Or you can also take the free shuttle bus at Bukit Gombak MRT station exit D, according to BBDC staff, they say it's open to public. So when I reached there, I went to the information counter to get a queue number to buy the 9th edition official basic theory handbook, they also gave me another queue number to submit a registration form. The handbook cost $3.40, can pay by cash or NETS. Then my second number was called, I submitted my registration form, the guy kept telling me that learning at their school is faster and cheaper, minimum $2000 can pass, I told him I prefer to take private and his face changed immediately haha. The ROM website did a really good job of putting together the information that you need in a well-organized manner. I've done it once and I think the guide is very easy to follow. The only hiccup I've had with my marriage is during the  Appointment for verification & Statutory Declaration where both of us were required to read out a wall of text and my wife had difficulty getting past the first few lines and the counter guy got fed up and told my wife to stop.
