Do Kwon: Why Terra is Buying $1 Billion Bitcoin

The Tweet: Hear @stablekwon 's plans for UST to be the most used, decentralized stablecoin/pair in crypto Also, why is Terra buying #Bitcoin , and what's Anchor's future? Apple: https://t.co/3CxWCYivoe Spotify: https://t.co/wCDLzTSJiT pic.twitter.com/jWuR1WIfLI — Blockworks (@Blockworks_) March 31, 2022 It's free to listen. Cool guy. Go.

Tried Out NiceHash Bitcoin Mining

Image
I'm using a 3060 Ti LHR, have been sitting idle for months , when I use my PC, the GPU fans don't even spin at all, these days I don't play any PC games, only watch YouTube or Netflix, majority of time spent on Twitter, Reddit and Crypto.com. So yesterday I thought might as well fully utilise the GPU, sit there also wasted, downloaded NiceHash, within 15 minutes started mining already, super easy to use, even have a crypto wallet so whatever mined will go inside. The wallet also support several other coins, can buy crypto, trade crypto too, very feature-rich. There's also an option to utilise CPU to mine Monero coin, I find that it doesn't produce much and make CPU hot, so end up turned off and just use GPU to mine Bitcoin. Just to highlight NiceHash will only pay to wallet when unpaid mining balance is 1000 satoshis (0.00001000 BTC), not that difficult to reach. For one GPU I don't expect to earn much, but if I mine whenever I use my PC, I think it's perfec

Luna Foundation Guard (LFG) Bought BTC Again

I think the average price is a very strong support. BTC Balance: 30,727.97977657 Total Cost: $1,283,040,730.72 Average Price: $41,754.80

BTC and ETH All In

Image
Just made a crazy move and went all in after I realised this huge bullish signal from Terra, didn't catch my attention earlier but today it slowly sit in and I decided to make this move. The chart also doesn't seem to have any resistance all the way to $65,505, seems kind of crazy, hope I didn't read it incorrectly... Anyway there are many confirmations that Terra is indeed accumulating lots of BTC, daily from 22 Mar until 28 Mar except 27 Mar which is a Sunday, guess they taking a break from all that buying. It will take another few weeks for them to hit $3B, so I think it will push the market up and kill all the shorts. Wish me luck haha. My wife say this year I will be lucky, hope this is it, just have this voice that keeps telling me to do it... Crypto.com BTC Spot Trading Race

Image
https://crypto.com/exchange/trading-arena/5-spot-trade-btc-pairs-to-win-bitcoin-2022-passes,-btc,-and-more! Surprisingly I am ranked #67, I didn't even trade that much, and some of my earlier trades no count (around $8.2K) because when I clicked the "REGISTER NOW" link via email somehow the page didn't work at all (yeah they will send an email to inform you that you can register for the race), tried log in log out refresh close browser also same, maybe that day not my day, after that totally forgot about it. Then last Friday they sent a "[1 Week Left]" reminder email, I tried again, this time managed to register. Kind of weird though, small fly like me also can rank #67, but see the rank #1, 1 billion USD trading volume in 14 days , rank #2 is 50 million USD, so far apart, maybe that rank #1 is a auto-trading account? Or a high-rolling trader, one trade 10-50 million, possible. By the way buy or sell also count, any BTC pair also count, for me I traded BTC/U

Dolce & Gabbana Virtual Fashion Show

Wow, I don't really chase branded but I have good memories of D&G during my teenage years, used to own their jeans and it was damn stylo. #DolceGabbana showcases at the First Metaverse Virtual Fashion Week hosted by @decentraland in partnership with @unxd_nft . BTC $44583 Barrier

Image
I think if BTC can close above $44,583, then next price target should be $45,855. But today volume looks kind of weak, maybe it's Saturday so not many trading going on. Tomorrow maybe also hover around same price, if can't close above $44,583, not sure what will happen. Currently seems like the Russia-Ukraine conflict quiet down a bit, Russia says first phase over, then looks like they are going to focus on the Donbass region. I think BTC might just go up, anyway I'm buying two ways, if go up, good, if go down, DCA, both ways win. By the way I'm still quite clumsy with the chart, hope I can get better at it.

India: 30% Capital Gains Tax and 1% TDS for Crypto

https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2022/03/25/indias-stiff-crypto-tax-legislation-becomes-law "Indians will begin paying a capital gains tax of 30% on crypto transactions in just one week after Parliament passed a controversial tax proposal on Friday, sparking uproar and disappointment among those in the country's crypto industry. In addition to the capital gains tax, Indians buying or selling crypto will have to pay a 1% tax deducted at source (TDS) , as well as taxes on crypto gifts , with no ability to take deductions for losses. The crypto taxes will come into effect on April 1 , while the TDS will start on July 1 ." Wow, that's some huge taxes, let's run some numbers. Assuming I'm buying 1 BTC on Crypto.com Exchange. Buy Buy 1 BTC at $44,500 Trading fee is 0.4% of the BTC = 0.004 BTC, so I receive 0.996 BTC My average price is $44,678.71 Sell So when BTC goes up to $50,000 and I sell $50,000 * 0.996 = $49,800 Trading fee is 0.4% of the dollar value = $199

3rd Largest Bitcoin Whale Sold 1500 BTC

The whale's Bitcoin wallet: https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/address/1P5ZEDWTKTFGxQjZphgWPQUpe554WKDfHQ The transaction: https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/block/729001/1P5ZEDWTKTFGxQjZphgWPQUpe554WKDfHQ Looks like he/she sold at Coinbase. $44 483.45 * 1500 BTC = S$66,000,000.725175 USD I wonder how did this person accumulate so many Bitcoins, just mind-boggling, or maybe it's an organisation? Anyway I am learning how to read charts, the BTCUSD chart seems to show me a pattern... I bought some just in case, not all in, just some, never FOMO in. By the way I am learning from Benjamin Cowen, his YouTube channel if you are interested: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRvqjQPSeaWn-uEx-w0XOIg I like how he doesn't "shill" some crazy $100K Bitcoin instead he just put a lot of effort to present data as it is, because he kena many times so he is very cautious, when you get filled with too much "shilling", go to his channel to "deshill", you might not l

Replaced Battery for Wife's iPhone 8 Plus

https://marrythaigirlsingapore.blogspot.com/2017/11/re-contract-wifes-mobile-with-iphone-8.html https://support.apple.com/en-sg/iphone/repair/service/battery-power How time flies, she using the phone for more than 4 years already, then recently she keep complaining that the phone keep shutting down by itself even at 100% battery, if charge again, use for a while it just shutdown again, so I guess could be battery problem because other than that the phone is still in good condition. Today I booked an appointment to go A.Lab at Plaza Singapura, they replaced the battery for S$75, the whole process took around 1 hour 40 minutes, very friendly and helpful guys there. Good thing after replacing battery the phone is good as new, no need to buy new phone. Now that I think of it, iPhone 8 can last a really long time, I think with this battery replacement, maybe can tahan another 4 years.

Crypto Profit or Loss?

Image
I started "investing" in crypto last year, bought my first 50 units of $CRO coin on 23 Dec 2021, so from then until now is 86 days. The following is my realised profit, I never sell at loss so whenever price drop I just keep buying, only sell at gain, so below is all profit. Now that I think of it I think I bought too many types of coins, over diversified. So if $2902.826926 USDC convert to Singapore dollars is S$3,936.81, that's like S$45.77 per day. By the way there is a $25 USDC charge if I transfer back to my Singapore bank account. 1 USDC = 1 USD. I think if put the money in bank will never earn this kind of interest. Also learned a lot from all these crazy buying and selling, I am clearing as much coins as possible, then I will focus on just a few solid "blue chips", but actually many good crypto projects out there, cannot possibly buy into everything, too many coins too difficult to track and take action, it's like all buildings on fire don't know

Crazy $RGT Price Movement on Crypto.com Exchange

Image
Yesterday night after clearing some shit at work, I go back to my desktop computer to catch up on crypto stuff at around 10pm, the price of $RGT shot up for no rhyme or reason right in front of my eyes, I didn't manage to find any major positive news, and the craziest thing is I look at other sites like coinmarketcap.com and even crypto.com/price, the price didn't even tally in a large way. There also wasn't much volume, so don't really understand what was going on. I quickly asked my wife to see, good thing she told me to sell so I sold at a nice little profit because two hours later it dropped back to it's original price. It was nuts. My average price is  around 19.0ish, so made around 544.40 USD. What an expected price movement, I thought my $RGT holding will stay 14-15 until the Russia-Ukraine conflict is over.

My First NFTs!

Image
So I finally tried minting some NFT, end up it's just .jpg files, put some id and description and then upload lol, wah seh, can't believe people actually paid so much money for some pictures. Just look at mine, really nothing special, just some randomly generated pictures, whoever willing to pay money for these must be nuts or too much money to burn. But if it is artwork where time and effort is put in that I can understand and support, or maybe something with utility also not bad. I am using the "Crypto.org Chain Desktop Wallet (Beta)", if you are interested you can download from here: https://crypto.org/desktopwallet By the way if you mint NFT via the desktop wallet, you can't transfer to the crypto.com/nft platform or vice-versa, so minting via desktop wallet is more for fun and getting a feel of blockchain technology. One mint cost 0.0002 CRO, that's about S$0.0001047, so it is a very insignificant amount so no need to heartache haha.

Elrond Acquire Twispay

https://elrond.com/blog/romanian-central-bank-approves-twispay-acquisition To be honest I don't even know what is Twispay lol, but after asking google, it seems to be a payment gateway, I guess it is similar to Stripe, I know Stripe because I got a project using it. "Elrond made a strategic first move to establish itself as a bridge between traditional finance and the crypto space when it went public with its intention to acquire Twispay, institution that can operate within the entire EEA (European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) under the passporting rules." I think just yesterday there was a vote on whether to ban bitcoin mining in EU, in the end didn't pass through. "The decision comes at a time when the EU Parliament is seeking to limit the use of energy intensive Proof of Work blockchain networks due to their climate impact. Elrond is maintaining its “carbon-negative” status by offsetting more CO2 than its already energy efficient network is acc

Wow, LimeWire is Coming Back

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/limewire-selects-algorand-blockchain-relaunch-130000746.html And they are launching on the Algorand blockchain. "LimeWire also plans to launch a token later this year, which will provide exclusive community access, voting mechanisms, and a reward system for token holders." And they are going to have their own coin, very interesting, I really think there is huge potential with blockchain technology. By the way I hold quite a number of $ALGO so yeah haha.

Wife Sold Gold

Image
Recently the gold price went up, so my wife found a buyer on Facebook, she sold 45g of gold for S$4000. That's about S$88.88 per gram, she told me after she sold it and asked me to help deposit it haha. So I checked out the gold price for the past 6 months, looks like the buyer bought it at the peak price, seems like my wife did her research I guess.

Temasek Holdings Invest in Immutable X

Image
https://www.businesstimes.com.sg/garage/immutable-raises-us200m-in-series-c-round-led-by-temasek I have been trading $IMX for some time and the price recently went into free fall, not to mention the ongoing conflict which made it worse, and also GameStop dumping their awarded tokens (which is part of a deal to create a NFT marketplace), and of course I averaged down gently. Then yesterday night suddenly shot up, I searched around and realised that it is because Immutable X announced a $200M funding led by Temasek. I saw the AMA with Robbie Ferguson, he is a really energetic and very smart guy, maybe he is a big reason why the project can attract the funding, I think this project will go very far, actually looks pretty solid. There's also staking in the works (see the second link below), I think maybe that's why they are reserving so many tokens, according to coinmarketcap, only 12% in circulation. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/immutable-x https://tidy-tv-abc.notion.site/

Crypto.com Account Protection Programme

Just received an email saying the programme is now available for Singapore users, just quote a small part, for details can refer to the FAQ link below: "The APP protects you in cases where a third party gains unauthorised access to your account and withdraws funds . For users who meet the qualifying criteria (stated in the FAQs), the programme will restore up to USD 250,000 ." The FAQ link: https://help.crypto.com/en/articles/5938387-crypto-com-app-policy That's why I think the crypto.com platform is really solid, I kind of feel much more assured using it lol.

Long Time Never Post

Been quite some time since my last post, 2022 is a busy start, with my daughter going P1, also busy at work because of cutting over a new project in Jan and clearing sh**, and also busy learning more about cryptocurrency ever since I got started back in Dec 2021 . I'm so glad I got started with cryptocurrency again, because after deep diving into it, I was shocked by how much the ecosystem have grown since my first experience playing with bitcoin back when it first started, I think it was 2009, can't remember exactly but I remember downloading the bitcoin wallet and did some mining, the wallet don't know throw where already, can't remember if I mined anything. At that time the idea of cryptocurrency was kind of crazy and out of this world, didn't think it would go any further so I didn't get too deep into it. Anyway I throw letter already, with Web3 already here, Web2 technology is a waste of time, I planning to spend 1-2 months resting and diving even deeper in
