Baby Passport Ready for Collection, But...

I just checked and daughter's passport is ready for collection from 02 Jun, told wife and daughter and they so happy. Following is the actual message: "We are pleased to inform you that the passport can be collected within one month from 02/06/2022." So in order to collect the passport, need to book an appointment, when I went into the appointment module, the earliest date is 14 Jun lol faint, happy for nothing. Sigh, see how, the air tickets from 15 Jun to 20+ Jun freaking overpriced, maybe not go.

Scam Alert, Trust No One

People have to realise that social media and messaging platforms are full of scammers, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Twitter, Discord, Telegram, Whatsapp and etc, these are not the kind of place to make new friends because it is too easy to create a fake profile, just look at Twitter, tons and tons of fake profiles. If you are not sure, ask someone you trust, like your family or your best friend, heck you can even ask me. For me very simple, whenever I receive unsolicited message, I treat it as scam, I report and block, end of story. If someone come knock on my door claiming to be from HDB or whatsoever, as long as the agency didn't send me any notification beforehand, I won't entertain. Speak

So a brand new LUNA token appeared, this is the so-called Terra 2.0 or LUNA 2.0 token. The original LUNA token has been renamed to LUNC, and UST has been renamed to USTC. The trading volume on the new LUNA token seems pretty crazy right now, second only to Bitcoin, probably tons of speculators hoping to make a quick buck, but I hope this will help the Terra team and community get up on their feet, it will do the entire crypto market good if they can recover from this. Still No News on Passport

I guess have to wait another two weeks see how, by then will be 10 Jun. Daughter's school starts on 27 Jun, if by 10 Jun cannot get passport, I think can forget the trip. Spoke to wife, if Jun cannot go, then we go during Dec holiday. Anyway 10 Jun just nice, it's almost two months since I left my job, I guess rest and play enough already, time to find work.

These few days damn hot, today 33 degrees, good day to go for a walk though, sweat it out, always feel better after a good sweat. I bought some ice-cream, some beer as well, nothing beats an ice cold beer on a hot day. Daughter loves ice-cream so she'll eat ice-cream and I drink beer haha. I bet right now it's even hotter in Thailand, still no news on daughter's passport, I think probably going to delay for a longer time.

On the bright side, I just checked my 2-room resale prices, seems to have gone up too, I think by the time I sell for my new Tengah flat, it might be able to cover my existing loan, and I can use the rest plus my CPF to fully pay for the Tengah flat.

PRDV151: Bitcoin for Everybody - Passed!

After I completed and passed the final exam, the cert was emailed to me immediately, exam was not too difficult, MCQ to test my knowledge of what was covered during the 5 units. The first 3 units took longer, lots of reading, the last 2 units quite straightforward for me so I managed to finish faster, but may not be straightforward for others, I shall not reveal too much. I must thank Saylor Academy for providing this course free of charge, really appreciate the effort put into producing this course to teach people about Bitcoin, the history, technology and people behind it. I'm just wondering, what if one day 1 Satoshi is 1 USD? I might not see it, maybe my daughter will, just a random crazy thought haha. Somebody File Police Report on UST/LUNA

Painful to Watch - UST and LUNA

I don't want to use any negative words or phrase anything negative until the Terra team and its community says it's over. Personally I'm not invested in UST or LUNA, used to hold some LUNA but sold a few months ago. 3 days ago when I blogged about it I thought nothing serious because it's not the first time any stablecoin depegged, even the likes of rock solid stablecoins like USDC and BUSD depegged sometimes. Boy was I wrong and things escalated too fast. As of now, UST is trading at $0.0951 and LUNA is trading at $0.00000953. Really painful to see this, don't really want to imagine how many retail investors got wiped out. Tough Days for Crypto Market

$BTC fell below $30,000, setting a new low this year, the entire crypto market went into free fall. $UST lost its peg to the USD, fell as low as $0.6879, meaning 1 $UST will only get you US$0.6879. Wife's Crypto.com 3 Months Earn Unlocked

3 months ago, I told my wife about the 3 months Earn program that give 10% interest per year but need to lock for 90 days. She thinks not bad so she decided to give me SG$10,000 to try. So here's the breakdown: 3 months ago, I converted SG$10,000 to US$7,377.79. Interest received over 90 days is US$181.92. Principal of US$7,377.79 plus interest of US$181.92 is US$7,559.71. Yesterday I sold via Crypto.com to my SGD Wallet at a rate of about 1.37599228. So I'm giving back my wife SG$10,402.10, means she made a profit of SG$402.10. Not bad, her money would be rotting in the bank anyway. By the way after selling to SGD Wallet, need to withdraw to bank otherwise it will not show in bank. Crypto.com Revising Card Rewards for Ruby / Indigo / Jade

So for SGD is around $3400 a month, seriously I don't charge that much to my credit card in a month lol, anyway I don't hold their debit card, the 180 days lock-in period puts me off.

NiceHash 100% LHR Unlock!

To upgrade, just stop and exit the miner, use the installer to overwrite, make sure to choose the RC version "v0.5.4.0 RC". Update: After trying for some time, the fans keep spinning up and down, not consistent, then it started crashing, whenever the Excavator starts, I get Windows blue screen of death. Not sure if it is because I tried to adjust the fan profile in OCTune, reset all also no use. No choice, I uninstall and use back the stable release, wait for the next stable release.

Crypto.com Revising Card Staking Rates

This morning Kris who is the CEO of Crypto.com came out and said they will revise the card staking rates, instead of reducing to nothing, they lowered it, well something is still better than nothing. Jade Green / Royal Indigo - from 10% to 4% Icy White / Rose Gold - from 12% to 8% Obsidian - from 12% to 8% Ruby Steel and Midnight Blue don't get any staking rewards in the first place so no change.

Crypto.com Made Some Crazy Announcements

Didn't expect them to announce such big changes in a span of two months. Note that some changes to the Visa card already took effect on 1st May 2022 9 PM Singapore time, so if you are still considering getting the card, read and consider again. Don't be fooled by the "Effective on 1 June 2022". Links to all the official tweets below. When I saw the tweet on the changes to the Visa card, I thought to myself that's it, $CRO is going to dump, and indeed it dumped around 18% or more within 6 hours. Good thing before it dumped, I quickly swapped all my $CRO to $ETH at a loss of around 0.8 $ETH, if I didn't do that, that 0.8 could have tripled. Last Day of Taking Antibiotics

Finally today is the last day of taking antibiotics, the medication is making me feel drowsy, every morning wake up full of energy, after taking it feel sleepy, one day still have to take 3 times. The swell on my cheek is significantly smaller now, can still feel a little but very very small, I think by the end of tomorrow should be fully recovered. Anyway for the Pickupp, my account approved already, I can take orders now but the trips kind of out of the way, still looking for a trip that is doable, doesn't make much by walking/bus/mrt, if riding/driving then different story. By walking/bus/mrt I think one day at most 2-3 trips, have to start very early and end late, maybe earn $6-$8 per trip, after deduct own transport maybe $4-$6, just rough estimate. Withdraw BTC from NiceHash to Crypto.com Exchange

I finally hit the minimum withdrawal amount of 0.0005 BTC. Now I'm trying to withdraw directly to Crypto.com exchange, just submitted the request, see how it goes! By the way the network fee is 0.000005 BTC which is not much. Update: After around 2 hours, I received an email from Crypto.com informing that they received the deposit, 30 minutes later they email again saying deposit completed, so in total took around 2 hours and 30 minutes to see the deposit in my Crypto.com exchange BTC wallet.
