People Buying Full Trolley

Just came back from Sheng Siong, quite surprised to see queues, usually weekdays afternoon not so many people, but today see so many people, some even rushing, wonder what they are rushing for. Then saw quite a number of people buying full trolleys of goods, kitchen towels, toilet paper, canned food, packed fish, got one auntie even bought like 8 packed fish, looks like she is going to have a party tonight. Yesterday even more funny, my army friend posted a message on whatsapp saying his friend's boss do digital marketing for NTUC Fairprice, the friend's boss say government will lock-down SG next week, then tell everyone to go buy necessities. I have no idea how the above even gel together. Anyway better to stick to substantive information, the MOH link below is probably a better choice than information coming from "xyz's friend's boss", well unless the boss is the health minister or prime minister then different story. https://www.moh.gov.sg/covid-1...

Get Ginger Win Lucky Draw (中姜,中奖)

A few days ago during lunch I ordered chicken rice and after the owner scooped the rice, saw a big piece of ginger, the stall owner wanted to remove it for me but I said it's ok, then another guy said aloud ä¸­å§œ, similar to 中奖 which means winning a prize, we just laughed about it. Then yesterday I went for our company D&D, won two prizes, one prize is $30 CapitaLand vouchers. Then another one is a Sonos Play:1 speaker, retail price at Lazada is $269, not bad sia. But too bad the speaker quite complicated to use, end up selling it at Carousell for $150, it was quickly snapped up. Been quite some time since I won something, maybe I should go buy toto, who knows win top 3 group lol.

SP Group Update Recurring Credit Card

I recently replaced my credit and got a new expiry date and code, but card number is the same. My SP bill is paid via recurring credit card arrangement, and very strangely there is ZERO info on how to update my new credit card info at SP, even their website, FAQ, app, all never mention at all, wow. Anyway I wait for them to try to deduct, if fail then let them come to me, knn email nobody reply, call nobody answer, leave number nobody call back, already almost one week, wtf?

DBS/POSB Credit Overseas Transaction Fees

Link. Last month I bought some games at Steam, the site shows total amount S$23.09, it is already in SGD. Then after that I noticed my credit was charged S$23.32, an extra S$0.23 which is about 1% more, not a big deal but curious so I checked with Steam support, they confirmed they only charged as per what I saw on their site which was S$23.09 and they advised me to check with my bank. So after checking with DBS, they told me Steam is an international site so the transaction used Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) and they gave me the link and indeed it shows a 1% fee for credit card. " 1% fee on the converted Singapore Dollar Amount using a VISA/MasterCard Credit Card for foreign currency transactions." For transactions at Amazon or any other international sites can understand, I choose to pay in USD or other currency, I have to pay some fee, it's fine, because I understand DBS need to convert the foreign currency to charge me in SGD so it's service rende...

What a Strange Day

Just now went to market to buy lunch for wife and myself, reached there and walked towards the escalator, somebody on top spit and kena my right foot, very sticky shit, I quickly looked up but can't find that person, can't tell also because too many people walking on top. Went to toilet good thing have toilet paper to wipe. After I bought the food, on my way home walking have one big cockroach speed towards me and climbed onto my right foot, I saw it but only when I put my foot down then so zhun climb onto my foot, the creepy crawly feeling really got to me and I one kick until my slipper fly away lol. Then still on the way home, noticed the ground is wet, like one side wet another side not wet, I think it rained but not all areas wet? Weird because on my way to the market never rain, after I come back then notice ground wet. Negative Comments Early in the Morning

Look at this: 11 Negative Comments The first comment came at 6.01am, you can't see the time from the screenshot but I can see from my email because whenever someone posted a comment on my blog, I will receive an email notification. I am guessing it is from the same person, he/she posted 11 comments over a time frame of about 1 hour, at 6am+ in the morning, this person must be really free, nothing better to do, but I appreciate the hits he/she has given to my site so I still have to thank this person.

40+ Not Married Must Be Something Wrong

I have a colleague from China who is in his late 40s and not married, he is not like your usual middle-aged man, this guy is super negative and everything is not good to him. Eat local food say not good, but if we go to a hawker centre with all the Chinese food and I commented that there was hardly any local food he straight away say cook myself if I don't like it, bloody hell, might as well we dine separately, I also didn't want to dine with him anyway. Then buy toto he kept pestering everyone to see if anyone won, this kind of thing is private right, you don't go around asking everyone about it, so annoying, even when I'm so busy he can come up to me and ask me whether I won, if I won I won't be there seeing his face right. So Many People Queuing at ATM?

Today when I was on my way home, I noticed that there was a long queue at the update bank book machines at POSB, Citibank and DBS, wonder what happened, suddenly so many people using those machines. So I quickly head home to check my bank balance, nothing is missing, also can't find any relevant news online, or is it simply because after Chinese New Year everybody suddenly feel like updating their bank book at the same time? Source Actually I didn't know about him until I saw that video of him singing "Nong Nong Ago" in Singapore Idol audition, and that was a few months back. Anyway I thought he was a gutsy person, maybe with more practice he could do better, but I think the problem is his tongue, seems to be hindering his pronunciation, that aside, he's got the guts to go on TV with that standard, no serious, if it was me, I don't think I would even dare to sing to myself, not to mention in front of the nation, singing 0/5, guts 5/5.
