DBS Rejected My Recurring Bill Request

Reason given is amendment not countersigned, I don't remember amending anything, or maybe someone tampered with the application form? Good that they check, what if someone changed the account to their account and I pay for them every month, nowadays many thieves and scammers, these people really scum of the earth, have hands and legs don't want to work. Then these few days I saw the uncle again at my workplace, seems like he is living around there or something, why can't he just find a job? Really so difficult? Is it better or just easier to ask for things instead of working for it? Sometimes I really don't get it, some people say cannot find job, but there are so many job vacancies, what are they talking about?

EZ-Link Top Up Surcharge

Source Now if I top up using my ATM card, there is a $0.20 charge, but if I use their machines such as the general ticking machine then it's still free, I think from now on I will withdraw cash and then use their machine to top up, I know there is a ATM card only machine but I can't use that because my ez-link and atm is the same card, it doesn't work there. Nowadays the prices of necessities keep going up, just a few months back they increased the public transport fees, now ez-link starts charging for top up, later public transport fees going to increase again, fortunately my salary still can keep up but I really don't know in the future, nobody knows but of course the government won't let us die, the worry is still there.

Today Sheng Siong Really Sheng 升

Image
Yesterday they  announced that they will open a shop in Tampines Central, today their share price finally moved up after months of not much action, I think it's a good news for investors and shoppers alike, the location used to be an S-11 foodcourt, me and wife used to eat there after seeing the doctor at the polyclinic, oh the clinic is just about 100 meters away, just cross one road, and the Tampines North Community Centre is just opposite of the clinic. S-11 Foodcourt I think it's a really good location, that area is quite boring, the S-11 closed down already due to lacking business but now that Sheng Siong is going to open shop there, I think it will spring back to life, even their share price also spring back to life. Sheng Siong at 0.645/0.650 And I really think this shop will bring in a lot of revenue for Sheng Siong, just look at the crowd in Tampines, damn scary, all the uncles and aunties will swarm there after their clinic visit, mind you, the clinic i

Ideal Salary is $6000 in Singapore?

Source So $6000 is before or after CPF? $6000 is monthly wage or annual wage divided by 12 i.e. include bonus, allowance and etc? $6000 is individual or household income? This survey is so vague, and automobile is considered basic necessities? For salesperson yeah, but for workers like me, no. If everybody wants to own a car, then of course $6000 is the ideal salary.

Sold Lippo Malls at $0.405

Probably will start shopping for household stuff soon so I will need the money, also for renovation and such, don't know how much it will eventually cost though, father's friend still haven't give me a figure yet, overall the funds I have is about $9000 for renovation and buying aircon, fridge and washing machine, don't know enough or not. Anyway Lippo Malls price seems to have been stagnant for quite a long time, by selling the profit is $123.90, not bad la, better than nothing. Now let's see, every time after I sell, the price will go up, if really go up the shareholders can thank me haha, basket imagine tomorrow shoot up.

Thinking of Selling My Lippo Malls

These few days I have been looking around and roughly came up with a list of things to buy, with my current cash I don't think will be enough so definitely have to sell my shares. Item Cost Remarks Aircon $2,500.00 Mitubishi Starmex Fridge $500.00 Washing machine $500.00 Mattress $500.00 Painting $100.00 Father buy and do for me. Flooring $2,000.00 Just a rough amount, father's friend will do for me. Kitchen cabinet $500.00 Father buy and do for me. Stove and sink $750.00 Total $7,350.00 My current cash is about $4400, if I sell my 10 lots of Lippo malls, can get about $4021 so should be enough, now Lippo is $0.405, I see the buy volume today is higher than usual, the trading volume also so much higher at 3582 lots, how come today so much activitiy, maybe next few days will go up? I wait a bit, no hurry to sell now, I think I can wait one or two weeks.

$13.43 Savings with POSB Everyday Card!

I charged $352.10 to my card last month and they awarded me with 13.43 Daily$ which I can use it to offset my bills, that's about 3.81% savings, good!

Today is My Credit Card Payment Due Date

And they are supposed to deduct the outstanding amount from my bank account because I have already setup the GIRO payment ever since I received my card but until now, I still don't see the amount being deducted. Actually this morning I called up POSB customer service and the lady from the credit card department told me that the GIRO deduction will happen on the payment due date and at night, as to what time at night she didn't mention and I didn't ask, damn I should have asked but then again, I think she also won't know that, but I guess they will probably deduct at midnight. Anyway the lady assured me several times that she will personally monitor my case and also that I will not be charged anything, and even if they do charge me for late payment or whatsoever, she will waive it for me, and also she will give me a call tomorrow morning to update me on the deduction status, I'm counting on that. I think after this payment I will cancel the GIRO, might as well I ma

CPF Minimum Sum Raised to $155,000

Sometimes I feel that CPF is bad, but then again, for people who don't know how to manage their money, actually it's a good thing, my father for example, he is the generous type of person, you can say he is very steady, when he has money, he will go around giving treats to friends, or give money to his siblings and my sister (wonder why he didn't give me), and when he goes broke, he will go slog at work from morning till late night and live from paycheck to paycheck. He is getting old, he is now 57 years old, I really don't think he can or should continue with this kind of lifestyle, but luckily he owns a fully paid 3-room HDB flat in a mature estate, and he bought it at $40K+ in early 1980s, if I remember correctly I think it was $48,000, and according to the X-Value Calculator from srx.com.sg, the unit is worth $341,000. Now that I am moving out soon, finally he has the chance to unlock the value of his flat, after slogging so hard for so many years, I'm glad t

How to Make Money in Singapore without Starting a Business

1. Get a full-time job. This is the traditional way and perhaps the most reliable way, find a good paying job and stick to it, if there is a better opportunity you can choose to jump for higher salary, big companies usually recognize paper qualifications and pay you more so if you have a degree or some specialized certifications, usually it will work well. So if a company doesn't recognize your paper, you may want to start looking for a company that knows how to appreciate you. 2. Get a sideline. While you are holding onto a full-time job, most people will have rest days on Saturdays and Sundays, you can find some part-time jobs to do during your rest days. Some people provide tuition, some people work as insurance or property agent, some people even drive a taxi, it's up to you to manage. 3. Start a blog. Like me and many others who are blogging during their free time, this may take a while unless you look like Bae Yong-joon or Hyuna, try posting useful content, peop

Accumulate $100,000 By 30 Years Old?

Today I came across this article regarding accumulating $100,000 by 30 years old, by the way the original article is from Straits Times, you can find it here . Of course it's possible but it doesn't apply to everyone, I hope people don't go ahead and think that it's a benchmark, there are too many variables to consider. Let's look at the numbers: 1. Accumulate $100,000 by 30 years old. 2. Start work at 25 years old. 2. Earn $3050 per month as starting salary. 3. Get 4.5% increment per year. 4. Get 3 months bonus per year. The article also says if you save 20% of your take-home pay and depending on whether you invest or not, you can accumulate between $49,000 to $53,700 by 30 years old. But in order to achieve or cross $100,000, you have to save at least 50% of your take-home pay, and the article also mentioned the following which is very important: "With some effort, young people can achieve this, especially if they do not have heavy commitments suc

Sheng Siong Closed at $0.63

Hmm, not bad, in the green as expected, now I wonder how long will the rally last, but it's still quite surprising because STI closed at 24.86 points lower. Next is Lippo malls, I think after their results announcement in May, their share price will surge because they are making a profit, I haven't seen their results yet but I am very confident because Indonesia has a huge and growing economy, let's see.

Bedok Reservoir Sheng Siong Business So Good

Just now I went to there so many people, I think because of the lucky draw, anyway their profit for first quarter of 2014 went up 11.5% compared to the same quarter last year, not bad, that 11.5% is about $4.6M. And with their latest results, their share price also climbed up to $0.62 from $0.595, also not bad, I think next few weeks will go higher, too bad I didn't buy more, sigh, have to set aside money for my renovation and furnishing, I was worried if I buy I might get stuck for a while, but well, nobody can predict the future ;) But from what it looks now after their recent general meeting, the price will move up next week, it's being hyped by the share buyback potential, it's 11.5% profit growth and also the lucky draw is back, furthermore they have plenty of spare cash, they can afford to buyback shares, I think it's very possible they will buyback from the market because from now until 2017 (Junction 9), they don't seem to have any other expansion plan, bu

People Who Earn More Than $100K Per Annum

I have been hanging around at salary.sg for a while, particular this thread titled "How much are you earning per annum?" If you briefly go through you'll find that there are plenty of high income earners here in Singapore earning between $100K to $500K per annum and they have multimillion dollars worth of assets. And while you are going through the thread, you'll find that there are people who called these high earners liars, I can only say these high earners are at a different level, we haven't reach there yet so naturally we find it hard to believe. In the past when I was working as a warehouse assistant earning around $1.4K a month after including overtime pay, I met an IT manager who was earning $2.5K a month, I thought that was a lot of money, more than twice my basic salary of $1100, I found it unbelievable. Later I heard that my store manager was earning $3K a month and she received 3 months bonus from the company and I thought that was a lot of money t

My Credit Card Spending So Far

I received my POSB Everyday card late last month, so far my spending is $ 248.60, all spent on daily necessities, didn't buy anything out of impulse, okay bought one bottle of Old Cask Rum for $32.75 at Sheng Siong but it's mainly for my father to drink, I don't drink that much, until now it's still almost full since we hardly touch it. Also bought several packets of hand-rolled cigarettes since I smoke daily, I will buy it anyway but buying it in bulk at Sheng Siong is cheaper since there is a 5% rebate, the rest spent on food, drinks, shampoo, shower foam etc. The feeling of having credit at my disposal feels good, I mean my credit limit is $18,500, to me it's not a small sum of money, I don't even have that kind of money, I don't even earn that much in a month and yet they allow me to credit that much if I wanted to, I think it's dangerous in the wrong hands, I know of people who will burn all that money in a few days, have a few friends who are the

Cannot Top-Up POSB Everyday Card EZ-Link at GTM

This morning I tried adding value to my everyday card at the GTM and it doesn't work because when I removed the card from the scanner when it prompted me to insert my ATM card, the transaction was cancelled. I also tried the NETS only kiosk and same problem. In the end I managed to add value through the ATM. By the way GTM means general ticketing machine, it's the machine where you can buy train ticket. Another option is go to the counter and add value by cash. Sounds like my options are limited but actually it's not a big problem, I have to withdraw cash every 2-3 days so when I do that, I top-up my card together.

Request to Charge Starhub Bills to POSB Everyday Card Rejected

Alamak, I didn't read the fine print, because I printed out from the internet so all the words are too small, fine prints even worse, cannot see! Anyway for Starhub, need to attach the original payment slip on the bill, the small little section at the bottom, never attach they won't process the request, think I'll submit later when I receive my bills for this month.

Yeah Finally Linked My POSB Everyday Card to My Bank!

Next time just go to the POSB branch and they can do it immediately, no need to send the request by mail, so troublesome and take such a long time and they rejected it! Reason is because my signature is different from their records, what the heck, isn't it the same? Anyway don't bother mailing, just go down, problem solved. Now I only have one card for transport, for ATM and for credit card, hahaha so convenient.

CDL HTrust Price Up 6.59% After I sold It

See, after I sell the price of the stock always go up, I sold 6 lots at $1.63 on 04 March 2014, today it closed at $1.75, that's $720! Sigh, stock market price really hard to say, but at least selling at $1.63 I still profit so not too bad. Now the price is too high, $1.6X still can buy, and this stock have a lot of potential because their investment is quite diversified, they have local properties and overseas properties, they even have a resort at Maldives, and the dividend yield is good and steady.

Topup EZ-Link in POSB Everyday Card

Just now I tried to topup and it works, I topup $20 and when I took the bus, it shows $20, I thought they were going to deduct $5 for the card but I think it's free and comes with the Everyday Card, not bad, it's a free EZ-Link card!
