Resale First Appointment Cleared!

Today reached HDB Hub at around 8.30am, went for a quick breakfast at Mr. Bean, the bee hoon not bad, then registered together with the seller, the lady called our number and she did a quick check on our documents, then at about 9.40am, we were called in to the room, the officer processed our loan application, HPS and I signed a bunch of documents, we also fixed the completion date on 26 May which is 6 weeks later. My wife also have to sign to confirm that she does not own any private property here or overseas, also to confirm she is only listed as an occupier because she is not a PR. So now I have the loan details, will loan $158,500 from HDB, every month pay $721 via CPF for the first 4 years or so, after that all pay by cash, not so bad, still manageable. Oh and every year have to pay $149.62 for the HPS, can deduct by CPF OA, and every 5 years have to pay $3.10 for fire insurance, think this one pay by cash. Now we just have to wait for the approval letter from HDB, then next is

Recommend Housing Agent

For those of you who need a reliable housing agent, please drop me an email, I can recommend my camp mate's friend, he is a very nice guy, very easy to talk to and most importantly very reliable, you want rent or buy private or HDB, just let me know, if want discount, can talk to him directly, it's up to him to decide. I seen a few agents very bad attitude, for me I think that agent must be approachable, sales is also customer service line, so must know how to make customers happy, I see some agents the face black black, or when talking on the phone like Ah Beng Ah Seng, like that how to earn money? Worse are those with bo chup attitude, sigh.

Going for My Resale First Appointment Tomorrow!

The day is finally here! Feeling a bit excited, finally getting my own place and getting out of my parents house soon hahaha, always good to have our own place, so now important thing is don't screw this up, I have already paid $5K for the option to purchase, by the way the valuation report and option to purchase is with my agent, told him to keep it because he paid for the valuation report, $133.05, he also paid for the resale application, $30, so tomorrow I will pay him $163.05, he is my camp mate's friend so he is okay with it. And I also have to pay $128.90 for caveat fee, don't know what the heck is that for but since it's stated in the first appointment letter so just pay. So I also checked to make sure all documents are ready, also reminded my dear agent to bring the valuation report and option to purchase, and tomorrow make sure we wake up at 6.45am then leave the house latest by 7.45am so we can reach Toa Payoh in time, by the way appointment is at 9.15am, it

Cold and Rainy Saturday Morning

This morning woke up so cold, was freezing and sneezing, last night was very cold too, with the aircon on my room is like a freezer. Now it's drizzling, been like that since I woke up at around 8 or 9am, was thinking of going for a run but I guess I'll have to postpone to afternoon, hope it doesn't rain later. Now I'm thinking of where to eat, maybe I can go to the Sheng Siong at bedok reservoir road, we always eat at the big coffeeshop there, the bus ride is less than 10 minutes, was considering Chinatown but it's so far and the rainy weather puts me off, I miss the fried chicken wing at Chinatown Complex and there are plenty of other great food there.

My Phone Going to Break Down Soon?

Been thinking of whether to get a smartphone, now using the stupid Nokia 1280, always automatic shut down then unable to detect sim card, don't think it's my sim card problem because I changed a new sim card, I think something wrong with the phone, maybe because I dropped it a few times, bought for $30 so no heartache. But getting a smartphone also mean getting a data plan, the plan kind of expensive, my friends keep telling me to upgrade but I don't want to waste money. I also think smartphones are too complicated, too many functions, very confusing. Or maybe I go shop for a new cheap phone then no need the data plan, last time unlimited data okay, now limited then not okay.

A Few Taxi Drivers Short-Changed Me

These few days I needed to travel outside to settle some work issues, I took taxi several times a day and noticed that some drivers tend to short-change me a bit, 5 cents here, 10 cents there, for example the fare was $4.96, I gave $6 and he gave me back $0.95, I knew but kept quiet because it was not a big amount, but after taking several such rides, it does add up, still a negligible amount though, but felt a bit unfair because I can only claim up to the amount stated on the receipt so this kind of losses I have to absorb myself, but I won't go as far as to chase back this kind of money, just some small change, I take it as they don't have small change, they brought me to my destination and that's good enough. The last time I had to travel outside, it was in 2010 to 2011, from 2007 to 2009 I also traveled a lot due to work, that time the drivers were very law-by-law, 5 cents or 10 cents also cannot owe passenger, for the same situation like $4.96, I give $6, if they don

CDL HTrust Price Up 6.59% After I sold It

See, after I sell the price of the stock always go up, I sold 6 lots at $1.63 on 04 March 2014, today it closed at $1.75, that's $720! Sigh, stock market price really hard to say, but at least selling at $1.63 I still profit so not too bad. Now the price is too high, $1.6X still can buy, and this stock have a lot of potential because their investment is quite diversified, they have local properties and overseas properties, they even have a resort at Maldives, and the dividend yield is good and steady.

Super Hot and Sunny These Few Days

My room thermometer shows 31 degrees celsius, Google shows 33 degrees, really hot, the sun light is piercing and makes me sweat all over, and these few days got to travel outside, sigh, got several places to run, but not bad, at least I don't have to sit and face the computer all the time, only problem is the hot sun, must drink plenty of water to keep myself hydrated. I noticed that our weather is getting hotter, did we used to have 33 degrees in Singapore? I remember the hottest was 31 or 32, is it getting hotter now? Global warming? I hope our great scientists have a solution to this problem, imagine one day Singapore becomes as hot as Thailand or India. I remember when I was at my wife's hometown, the weather there is about 39 degrees and it's normal for them, heard they can even go up to 40+, but night time is very cold, no need aircon.

Topup EZ-Link in POSB Everyday Card

Just now I tried to topup and it works, I topup $20 and when I took the bus, it shows $20, I thought they were going to deduct $5 for the card but I think it's free and comes with the Everyday Card, not bad, it's a free EZ-Link card!

KNN Polyclinic Consultation $41.70

This morning accompany my wife to Tampines Polyclinic, reached there at 10.32am, took a queue number and went to the registration area, quite packed but still have some seats, waited 1 hour just for the registration, they have 11 counters, only 5 or 6 open, 2 staff busy chatting with each other, 30 minutes later, only 4 open, out of these 4, only 3 working, one counter don't know doing what. Finally at 11.32am, we got registered, next we move on to the consultation room at level 2, waited another 1 hour to see the doctor, then do the INR, took about 5 minutes since no people at the lab, then see the doctor again, then finally collect medicine, pay money and left the place at 1.32am, took exactly 3 hours. Damn siong, 3 hours just to take 2 weeks medicine, and 2 weeks later have to come back again because wife's INR reading too low at 1.3, normal should be between 2 to 3, best is 2.5. But at least today the doctor was nice, it was a young male doctor, about my age I guess, so
