Yesterday Starhub Wireless Router Faulty

Yesterday the router suddenly kept disconnecting, I called Starhub support and they told me to plug directly to the ONT and it works fine, but if change back to router, problem comes again. So they told me to call Dlink suppport as they do not provide support for the router, I thought it's all under them but the router is not. So I called 66229360 for the Dlink support, the guy guided me to do a hard reset i.e. press and hold the button on the back for 10 seconds and release and it will reset to factory settings. After doing that, he told me to monitor for 2-3 hours. I kept trying and it still keeps getting disconnected, same thing, if plug direct to the ONT it works fine. So I called back again, this time a girl told me to bring the device to their service center, they will send me an email for the instructions. In the end there was 2 service centers , one is at Jurong, the other at Sim Lim Square. So I called up the Sim Lim Square center since it's nearer to my workplace

Seen Cardiologist Today

Today we confirmed for my wife to be admitted to hospital next month on the 5th for preparation for delivery. She needs to be warded two weeks before so she can be switched to Heparin, once her blood is clear of Warfarin, they can then do the C-section for her. Hopefully everything will turn out fine. The cardiologist also said maybe after her delivery, can consider changing her mechanical heart valve, her current valve has severe stenosis i.e. narrowing so blood flow is reduced, but see how, maybe 6 months later or maybe longer, depends on her health.

Crazy Weather Back Again!

This morning there was the big hot sun, it's so hot that I think I can cook an egg on the concrete floor, and I was sweating like a pig, everybody was sweating like a pig lol. Then after lunch, it suddenly rained but good thing is the rain took away most of the heat but I think this kind of sudden weather changes can make people sick, especially the elderly and little kids, so better take good care.

Today I brought my wife to dine at The Manhattan Fish Market @ JCube, been wanting to try their dishes as it looks so yummy in the leaflet. So I orderd the Fishy Chicky Bang Bang, my wife ordered the Curry Hill Seafood Slipper Lobster version, we also ordered a Volcano Mussels and a Oyster Roulette. For drinks I ordered a coke, my wife a chocolate milkshake. I really enjoyed the Oyster Roulette, it comes in 4 shot glass servings, each glass contains a whole piece of oyster with tangy chili sauce and a small slice of lemon, damn shiok, but it's quite expensive, 4 oysters for $7.95. Overall the food is nice but servings are kind of small, the meal costed $66.53 including service charge and GST, not bad la, but damn noisy place and so crowded, maybe because today is a holiday. Tomorrow holiday, have already turned off the alarm on my phone, I want to sleep as late as I can without any disturbance, must catch a good rest, next week going to be busy. So now I'm thinking where to go eat tomorrow, maybe find a good dim sum place but I bet it will be packed since tomorrow is a public holiday.

Some Bus Services Not Available

Just now me and wife wanted to take bus 961/855 to Bukit Merah central and when we were walking towards the bus stop, we saw a police officer at the overhead bridge, we wondered what he was doing there. There was also a barrier, I think they were going to close the overhead bridge or something. After that we saw quite a few people waiting for taxi at the bus stop, so weird, and after waiting for quite some time, I saw a notice stating that several bus services were suspended due to Mr. Lee Kuan Yew's state funeral. Two aunties were still waiting down there, I told them no bus if not they will keep waiting. So we went to Sheng Siong instead, on the way back, we saw a lot of police officers at the Commonwealth MRT station, I think the funeral car will pass by the station, they even blocked the entire station so no one can view down from above, I think it's a safety measure in case some crazy people throw stuff on the funeral car. This morning when I reached office, first email I saw was the passing of Mr. Lee, and I was shocked for a bit because I thought he might live for a few more years since he always looked sharp even for his age. I think he might have succumbed to the recent flu bug, probably the same one which I kena , this one was terrible and I had a bad cough for 2 whole weeks, almost everyone in my office also kena, so damn contagious, and if it's so bad for a 31 year old like me, then I can't imagine how bad it can be for a 91 year old. Anyway today I worked only half-day and I brought my wife to do her echo, I was watching the news and they kept talking about the passing of Mr. Lee, his life stories and etc, so repetitive, I bet they have been replaying the same videos over and over since this morning. Today we went to see gynae at NUH, nothing much, only took the glucose tolerance test and the usual questions from gynae like how are you, any breathlessness, giddiness and etc. After that we had lunch at the Coffee Bean, wife ordered the beef spaghetti and me the beef lasagne, I think I can make better spaghetti, actually it's not that difficult, just cook the noodles well and make a good sauce. The lasagne also not bad, but I still like our hawker food. We also ordered a Black Forest Mocha, good stuff. The meal costed $29, think they have some lunch promotion if not it will cost more. Then we went to the NTUC Fairprice, they have a shopping mall at the new building, I think there is also a Burger King somewhere but not sure which level, I saw their logo outside the building. Overall quite a nice place, but feels quite empty because not all the shop space are taken.

Bloody hell, which kid still run around and laugh loudly at 3am? Which family still talk loudly and laugh at 3am? Really fed up man, these people no need to school, no need to work? 3am is their normal hours? Are they vampires??? And their aircon really super noisy, like the plane engine, how did they even put up with it, or maybe they are deaf? By the way I bought 2 sets of earplugs, one for me and one for my wife, cannot fully block out the noise but at least better than nothing. You can say I'm evil but to be honest, I really hope their aircon explode and burn down their house. And I'm very curious, how come daytime they are at home, nighttime also at home, no need to work at all??? And the kid, so late still haven't sleep, don't say school holiday, even normal school days also can run around at 2-3am, really a family of weirdos.
