Baby Went for Jaundice Check at Polyclinic

Wife, MIL and wife's cousin brought baby to Queenstown Polyclinic to do the test, the result was 243, the doctor said to review tomorrow because it is high, hopefully tomorrow will drop. MIL also brought baby for some sunlight, I also instructed wife to feed more, I think probably the cause is baby was born earlier at 36 weeks + 2 days.

Anyway baby seems very happy in the house, sometimes smiling and hardly crying, she cry only when hungry, previously she cry when changing diapers but now she doesn't. Her eyes also started to open more frequently, so cute ;)

Today my colleagues also gave me a big ang pao, feels quite thick, I gave it to my wife, not sure how much is inside because I never open to see.

Yesterday also went to buy 4 more baby clothes, the short sleeve type, 4 for $11 at CK, find that it is very useful, no need shorts because wear diapers and put on a few blankets, the mitts also useful, cap is ok, but just wrap is good enough, can wrap the head so cap is not so necessary.

Good day to u, i juz learnt that yr wife n bb are doing good, i'm happy for u too!! My wife's due date is 18/11, still long way... haha!! Anyway, i wanna know more abt the "baby bonus", pls share yr experience... thks alot n all the best to yr family.😊

I just send out the baby bonus form, now waiting for them to send me authorization letter to open CDA account for baby. Need to provide a copy of latest bank statement or page from bank book to tell them which account to credit the baby bonus, think I can get $6000, but plan to top it up to baby account.

Hi host, long time didn't visit yr page... how's life? My wife finally gave birth exactly on 40th weeks, baby boy weighed 3.41kg! As wife is only LTVP03YRS, so we went for Mt. ALVERNIA hospital, total bill was $7700(medisave 3500, cash 4200). For those with foreign wife, pls take note! I've already applied for baby bonus n CDA few days ago, do u think need to wait for how long to get them, n also the CDA atm card? Juz wanna confirm, baby bonus total is $8000 correct? Wish u n yr family all the best.😊

Oh, one more thing, i'll be doing visa extention for my MIL next week, i hope to get 89days... pls give advice whether to do it online, or go ICA personally, or seek MP with a letter then go ICA??

I think best is bring her to ICA and tell the officer personally, should have higher chances. No need the letter, just tell the ICA officer that your wife is giving birth and her mother is here to help.
