Baby 2 Months Old Tomorrow
Time sure flies, baby will be exactly 2 months old tomorrow, so what have I experienced and learned? So many things and I would like to share a few.
Ginger Tea and Breastfeeding
My daughter still has jaundice now, last reading was 200 last week, came down from 234 once wife stopped consuming ginger tea so I'm pretty sure the ginger tea is the culprit. So if you are breastfeeding, avoid ginger tea, just stick to normal healthy food such as milk, veggies and meat. And always eat everything in moderation, especially sweet stuff, pregnant and post-partum women seem to love sweet stuff so be careful with that, you don't want to end up making diabetics your friend.
Pram is a Must-have
The SG50 baby sling is useful but I guess not many people will find it that useful because there is some learning curve, and you have to adjust quite often to suit the baby. You can practice at home but when you are outside shopping or dining (especially in non air-conditioned places, SG is a hot country), nothing beats a pram and the best part about pram is it can even double as a shopping trolley. With the sling, the parent will have to carry the baby all the way and it's very tiring, especially when mother is fully breastfeeding (only mommy can calm baby), then mother will have to carry all the way, so just get a pram to make your parenting more bearable.
Keep Stock of Diapers and Baby Wipes
You can stock up on the wipes but don't stock up on the diapers, just buy enough for at least a week, baby grows very fast, my daughter was 2.3KG at birth, now she is probably 4KG+ and the newborn diaper is starting to become too small for her, so now we are buying the 3-8KG diapers instead; newborn diapers usually can support up to 5KG. You don't want to run out of diapers/wipes in the middle of the night.
Keep Stock of KOOLFEVER Pads
Keep at least 2 boxes, this is very handy when baby suddenly have fever, especially in the middle of the night, this will help you and baby get through the night. Baby also have tendency to have fever after blood tests, especially the jaundice test where they draw blood from baby's sole, so if baby have fever, just put on a pad for baby.

Dont worry , I am not an insurance agent :)
its for my own knowledge.
Nope, you mean the pregnancy insurance right, where you can claim for delivery expenses, pre-delivery expenses and etc, can check out AXA but I remember not easy to qualify and very expensive.
I also never buy insurance for baby, thinking of getting those family plan, will be speaking to my agent later, since wife and baby have heart condition so have to check first.
