Still Don't Get Those Mukbang Videos
According to Wikipedia, "Mukbang" means eating show or in practical words it means sitting in front of a video camera with a lot of food, then eat and talk to the video camera at the same time.
A mukbang (Korean: [mʌk̚.p͈aŋ] (About this soundlisten), also known as an eating show) is an online audiovisual broadcast in which a host consumes various quantities of food while interacting with the audience. It became popular in South Korea in 2010, and since then has become a huge worldwide trend. Varieties of foods, ranging from pizza to noodles, are consumed in front of a camera.
This genre of video seems to have become wildly popular in these few years, I don't think it even exist back before 2010, after that it just spread like wildfire, Americans caught on, China caught on, heck even Singaporeans caught on, now you have normal people just piling up mountains of food in front of the video camera, and then just eat and eat, most of the time I just wonder if they can actually finish so much food without harming their body.
One thing for sure is, they make an income by eating in front of the video camera, for example YouTube, they earn via the advertisements, probably seems to be a pretty good income as this genre is incredibly popular now, not sure if this is a good thing though, imagine my daughter happen to come across this kind of videos and then try to imitate, not sure if it's going to be a good or bad thing.
Look at this guy, I just cannot imagine eating that much food without feeling sick, I like burgers and fries but not this much.

I hope there is some sort of regulation on this, it can't be a good thing to just let people encourage people to stuff themselves like that.
