"China Officials" Scam

https://tnp.straitstimes.com/news/singapore/china-officials-impersonation-scam-ex-businesswoman-75-loses-1m-cpf-money

These days scammers are everywhere! From SMS, calls, email and social media, so much money lost to scammers, damn lucrative, no wonder so many scams in so many different forms.

I'm not sure how this elderly lady got persuaded into handing over her money just like that, and she can't remember it, damn bastards scamming forgetful elderly lady, really dog eat dog world, every man for himself.

I never entertain any of these nonsense, the very first mistake one can make is to respond, simply don't respond will do. China officials some more, even if they really want to come after you, they will go through official channel, don't watch too much drama or movie and get confused with reality.

This elderly lady is 75, uses a wheelchair, has trouble remembering things, didn't tell family because she wants to protect them, come on, she is more vulnerable than her family members, she needs protection instead!

When in doubt, stop whatever you are going to do, ask questions, ask someone you trust, don't try to be a hero or heroine.
