6-8 Weeks Waiting Time for Passport

I submitted renewal for daughter on 15 Apr, that time say need at least 1 month, until now still no update, so I google and found that now they change to 6-8 weeks, wow, if worst case 8 weeks that means have to wait until 10th of June, I guess ICA must be really overwhelmed right now.

Also found this link, seems like there is a massive surge in passport applications, 8 weeks also don't know enough or not.
