Sam Altman Launches Worldcoin

Today happened to see this news and went download and registered the app, did everything and only left scanning my iris, I also helped my wife to download and register, booked an appointment for both of us to go down and scan. They have two scanning locations at Tanjong Pagar area.

The names World ID, Worldcoin and World App, sounds really scammy, if not for Sam Altman I would have easily dismissed this, so far seems pretty legit, but can't say for sure yet.

I played around with the app, the very interesting part is that it is actually also a crypto wallet, when you register it will create a Gnosis multisig wallet for you on the Optimism mainnet. You can use this wallet to buy, sell or send crypto.

Another interesting part is there is also a Digital Dollars wallet, which I guess is part of the multisig wallet because it is in USDC, you can use this to deposit, withdraw, send or pay in USDC.

By the way if you register now, you can claim 25 Worldcoin or short WLD, right now 1x WLD is trading for US$2.55, so that's like US$63.75 free money: https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/worldcoin

There's also an upcoming drop on 31 Jul, not sure how much more they will give though.

I think this app is kind of insane, it can either go very huge like globally huge or fail very badly into oblivion, I mean wouldn't banks and governments be worried and try to do something to stop them?
