Singapore Getting More Expensive
Every weekly visit to Sheng Siong, price of day-to-day stuff goes up, some go down but generally most go up, our weekly groceries shopping can easily hit S$125 or more, sometimes don't buy as much also around S$96+.
Next year GST also going to 9% on 1st Jan 2024, 1% GST means at least 10% or more increase on the ground, so if your Koufu two veggie one meat cai png is S$6.50 now, next year don't be shocked at S$7 or S$7.50.
Good thing still have hawker centre, but they also increase price although not as bad as those aircon food court.
My salary don't even increase at this rate. Every few months government give the small little things to help offset inflation, it doesn't entirely help but still better than nothing, but life getting really stressful here.
Sigh, tired.
