Went for Dental Implant

https://marrythaigirlsingapore.blogspot.com/2025/11/temporary-crown.html Today went for my dental implant, wasn't as bad as I thought, gave me a few jabs of local anaesthesia and then dentist did her thing, didn't feel any pain, just pressure and shaking from the drilling, screw in the implant and abutment and finally sutures, took about 1 hour for one implant. Two weeks later I will go back to remove the sutures. Paid S$1950 from Medisave, another S$850 to be paid in cash 3 months later when taking crown mold, so total is S$2800.

About Time to Think About Retirement

Phase 1: 0 to 20 years old - grow up, education. Phase 2: 21 to 40 years old - work, marry, house, baby. Phase 3: 41 to 60 years old - semi-retire, baby grow up, baby education, baby work. Phase 4: 61 to 80 years old - retire, baby marry, baby house, baby baby. Phase 5: 81 to 100 years old - coffin, baby baby grow up, baby baby education. Phase 6: 101 to 120 years old - if I'm still alive at this point I will come back to fill this up. I'm at the third phase of my life, house fully paid, no car, no loan, no helper, no child tuition, no need take care parent or sibling. Hoping I can semi-retire at 55 years old, by then daughter would probably have completed much of her education and begin transitioning to workforce. I have no use for my CPF OA since I already got my BTO in 2024, most likely will stay until I die. So I transferred some to my CPF SA after setting aside some money in case daughter need it for her tertiary education. There's also her baby bonus CDA account which...

Vision Seems to Get Better

https://marrythaigirlsingapore.blogspot.com/2026/01/diabetes-scare.html After my blood sugar came down to normal range, my near vision seems to have improved, not as clear as previously but now I can see the text on my iPhone with the smallest text size, still takes a while to focus but definitely much better now. These days I totally avoid sugared drinks, candy, chocolate and whatnot and stick to healthier choices and I work out everyday and more heavy on weekends to build some muscles and I feel way better particular more alert. Hopefully my eyesight can recover to pre-hyperglycaemia level soon.

On the week of 08 Dec 2025, a stye grew on my right eye and I didn't think anything of it. In the following week, the stye broke and there was pus in my eye all the time, had to keep cleaning it, especially after waking up there was this huge chunk of yellowish or greenish hardened pus, good thing I have a lot of antibacterial wipes and I brought one pack to work. Then I noticed that my vision in both eyes started to get blurry even with glasses, can't see near with glasses, but if take off glasses can see near but then cannot see far, then with glasses far looks blurry. I also had trouble sleeping well for quite some time even prior to the stye because I kept waking up at night to pee and felt thirsty all the time, to make matters worse I don't drink plain water much, kept drinking sodas and sweet tea. On 28 Dec 2025, I went to buy a combo pack glucose monitor "Contour Plus Elite Blood Glucose Meter (MMOL) + Test Strips 50s + Lancets 100s + Alcohol Swabs 200s", i...
